Interest issues.

hi ive been doing alot of payments but my interest is way more than what I owe :?  Like ive been really good with payments latley, but it seems like my interest hasnt moved at all from what I owe. My balance says like 900 and my interest says over 2k.  I don't think this is right, theres no way I have that much interest

The only way I can see this happening is if you had a bunch of "interest free" terms and didn't pay off in the time it was due, then they would tack the interest on after 6 months or a year
