I bought- I got a refund- but it's still on my account- 12 payments

Made Paypal Credit buy in 12 months payment.
 Buying didn't happen, salesman gave me a refund.

However, when I checked the refund message, I noticed that there was no balance available in the account and it still shows the debit of 12 scheduled payments.

How long will it take for a refund to appear on my PayPal Credit account?
