hi, does ppp work for single owner self employed or contractor and is the loan forgivable to pay yourself for missed income...have contract cancellations due to covid...thanks

Yes, individuals who are self-employed or independent contractors may apply for the PPP loan. You will need to supply your 2019 1040-C and 1099-MISC. You can read more at: https://www.sba.gov/document/support--how-calculate-ppp-loan-amounts.
