refunding a gift card

If I paid with a gift card for something on ebay and the seller had to refund the item, how will I get the money back from the gift card?  I currently am getting refunded only what was purchased on my credit card.  I have not seen the refund for the gift card.

Depends if the card was 'reloadable' , if not the funds may bounce back to your paypal balance OR go back to the seller.
