"Split This" ????

Can anyone tell me what "Split this " against a transaction means .... no one seems to know

Daft feature in my opinion but.............

During checkout, PayPal makes it easy to split a bill with your friends.

1. Select PayPal at checkout, and log in to your PayPal account.
2. Select, or add friends you’d like to split your bill with.
3. Click Next.
4. Review, and update how you’d like the bill split.
5. Click Request Money.

On the confirmation page, you’ll see the money you’ve requested from your friends. Each person will receive an email with a Pay Now button, making it simple for them to pay you back.
