possible scam

Hi there I’m supposed to be receiving a business transaction. However, the payer is asking em for a clearance fee I was wondering if this is a scam or something I need to pay them?

Yes its a SCAM, Paypal does not tell you as a seller to send any type of fee or gift card etc for any account issues to receive payments.
