When calling PayPal, why are they asking for info, saying wait time may be longer than usual, putting you in hold, only to then give a message saying they are closed. When will they open. Why wont they tell us?

I am replying to a message from April 8, but today is April 24 - and there is still no customer service! And all the same - "we have longer wait time", etc, and then - "customer service closed". This is absolutely unacceptable.
