I am selling a product through gumtree and have a buyer that I am posting the item to. A couple of emails confirming payment have been flagged up by Gmail as potential phishing emails so I'm a bit concerned whether the sale is genuine or not.
As the payment doesn't go through to my account until the item has been shipped is there any way to check that the buyer is genuine or that the money has indeed been paid by them?

This is a typical scam ..................
Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.
Paypal do not tell you to send trackable, they advise it for selling protection but it is not compulsory.
Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
