hi,

just got a regular email from paypal about march report. i clicked to log in and got to paypal greek website (?!?).

i thought perhaps there was a mistake in the link in the email, so i opened a new tab, typed paypal.com and got again redirected to greek website.

i've no connection with greece not i ever changed language or location on my paypal.

what is going on? until today paypal.com always open american website by default (or at least a website in english). how come that can change on its own? is everything ok with the website?

thanks

Click English in the language dropdown menu on this page:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-country-functionality-outside

Then go here to click on your country to head to it's homepage:

https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/country-worldwide

It should get rid of the greek or any other localized language webpage you find yourself in.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

thanks @sharpiemarker !
i found my way around to get back to english but that wasn't my question.
i get worried when a website changes something on its own that isn't logical (to me :)) - nothing on my computer has anything to do with greece or greek language so i'd like to know how this strange localization could have happened.

if anyone knows.

thanks
