Why has my EBay payment been charged with a fee?

Hi, Sorry I’m new to this. I sold an item on eBay and just received the payment which is on hold but a fee has been minused so I’m not getting the total amount I listed the item for? Can anyone tell me why this is? Thanks!

Ebays fee is invoiced to you on a monthly basis.

However Paypal takes their fee from your buyers payment and the remainder credited to your paypal balance.
