Who sees what?

If I am buying something from an individual not a business can ‘‘tis person see my bank info for payment? I know that sounds crazy but is it like handing them my credit card or does PayPal pay them?

No-one individual or business can see your bank account or card info, the whole point of Paypal is that they keep all that confidential.
