Hi, I am selling something on Gumtree and I have been messaging the buyer quite a lot. She initially sent a payment to the Gumtree generated email. She has now sent it to my email but it has come from <removed> and it is asking me to click a button to Claim My Money. The buyer is apparently inthe Republic of Ireland. She is asking me to send it quickly as she requires it as a present tomorrow but the email address seems weird, any advice welcome!

Sounds like a scam.
Has she sent it to the email address you have linked and verified to your paypal account?
If so then the funds should be showing in that paypal account balance.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

She did - sent it to an @ googlemail address rather than @ gmail which is what is linked to my paypal.
She cancelled the payment a resent to correct address and it came through fine.
Still not sure about he scam/unofficial email address the first mail came from but funds sorted now.
