USPS Tracking from the Transaction Details Page - Spaces Should be Edited Out

The US Post Office regularly declares its 22-digit tracking number in 5 groups of 4 numbers and 1 group of 2 numbers.  These 6 groups are normally delineated by SPACES.  This is intentionally done for ease of readability.  It is a mystery to me why Paypal has not included a simple EDIT of those spaces (to ignore them) when passing along the full tracking number to the USPS tracking site.  Absent that simple edit, the link to track a shipment from the details page will often fail because only the first 4 digits are passed to USPS.   Has this ever happened to you?

Paypal programmers:  it is a very basic task to add a regular expression that will remove/ignore any non-numeric characters from the string that stores the tracking number for USPS shipments before passing it to the USPS tracking site.  If you need help doing so, feel free to contact me.  Thanks.
