So I contacted Paypal regarding adding a US transferwise account to my UK account because I don't want to lose even more money on their poor rate exchange. The short answer - we don't allow it anymore. Anyone been able to add this recently? I know for a fact you could in the past.
If PayPal tells you that they don't allow it, follow their advice. With security the way it is these days, there is potential for account limitations place on your account eventually if you insist.
The only valid reason for this is so paypal can collect 2x times. 1 on payment processing and 1 on currency xchange rate - which is terrible. Funnily enough STRIPE allowed me to do this within 1 minute.
