I live in France but have a UK bank account. When I transfer money to a friends UK bank account I get charged £7.00. Am I missing something here? I don't use it much so not sure if I'm supposed to put the money in my wallet first? When I'm in the UK there's no charge. This is a digital system why does it matter where I am?

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / and bank accounts from within that country.
If not then if the transfer does work you will face charges.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
