Transaction charges - how to calculate and how to pass this on to the customer

Hi Friends,

I am new to Paypal business.

Recently requested a client to pay us USD 10 and the charges was close to 8.7%. 

How do calculate the charges and is there a way to pass on the  charges to customer ?

Please advise how you guys have been able to circumvent this

YOU CANNOT PASS ON TO YOUR CUSTOMER,IT IS THE COST OF DOING BUSINESS/

You can always raise the asking price of your item to cover such cost
