I received in another email account, a message I assumed was from paypal, which was an alert that there was unauthorized activity in my account from Conneticut, in point of fact, it was today about a half hour ago. I was going to click on the handy link to paypal, until I saw the header, XXXX, which is not the same as the top of this page. If I'm mistaken and this is actually from paypal, then by all means, I'd like the unauthorized activator taken care of in the legal sense. However, if not, then, who would I talk with who is not a computer, about this? Or, if all they need is the site address, then fine.

If its a spoof, DO NOT USE ANY LINK.

Firstly if the email/ text addressed you as ''Dear Member'' / ''Customer'' / ''Client'' OR your ''email address'' then that confirms its a spoof as paypal would address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.

Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email to ''cancel'' the transaction or ''confirm'' any details then again it would be a spoof.

If there was a problem with your account paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email or by downloading an attachment, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.
