The message center is not working and I cannot contact PayPal support

I sent and received a message in the message center. The support rep did something that "ended" the conversation, but not really. It is left in some type of limbo. I cannot respond to the message and I cannot start a new one. I get an error when I start a new one that says, "please end the conversation" for the "open" one. But it is NOT really "open" since the rep "ended the conversation".
When I click ON the message, a box, where the conversation/message should be says there has been an error.. well, duh..yeah..
So PayPal has some serious problems with their message center or rep training to use it properly from what I see on this forum having so many complaints about this problem with the message center AND no replies.
Does anyone have any other way, like a phone number that works for PayPal to get this resolved? This is such poor service for the cost.

It happens. Hit the "Login to Ask the community" button to create a question for the PayPal community.
