Text from PayPal - is it genuine

I made a purchase via PayPal last night, and just noticed I've had 3 texts asking if I made the transaction. Texts from 62 226. It looks genuine enough, but it's never happened before, and the payment has gone through as normal.

Is this normal? 

I've never had a text from PayPal before....

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community Forum!

Sometimes, if the system detects that a transaction may not have been authorised, we would send you a text to confirm if it was you who initiated the payment.

The odd thing is that I never replied to any of the texts, but the payment went though anyway.
