Hi Craig, I recieved almost 10 emails with the same details , and I am sure they are spams , but don't open the links or do anything until we make sure , also I sent an email to paypal customer service and the reply was not clear , please can anyone help us regarding this .
If its a spoof, NEVER USE ANY LINK.
Firstly if the email/text addressed you as ''Dear Member'' / ''Customer'' / ''Client'' OR your ''email address'' then that confirms its a spoof as paypal would address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.
Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email/text to ''cancel'' any transaction or ''confirm'' any details then again it would be a spoof.
If there was a problem with your account Paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email or by downloading an attachment, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.

I got the same thing back in April :
We noticed suspicious activity on a credit card linked to your PayPal account. To confirm that you're the owner of the credit card, we need you to confirm your identity. You'll be able to regain access to these features once you provide the required information.
My account has been unusable ever since. Getting a hold of anyone in customer service is a joke....PayPal is useless right now. I have sent so many messages and I have provided photo ID with proof of residence....nothing helps. The fact that I can't get a hold of anyone either online or by phone is SO **bleep**ing FRUSTRATING!!!!!
