Suspicious email

Hello everyone,

I got a mail that I need to resolve something with my PayPal account, I also got the link and I entered the link, it opened my PayPal account and I needed to upload my picture with my credit card, my address and something more. I am not sure if I made a mistake because the mail ends in <Removed>.

Does anyone know what to do?

If its a spoof, NEVER USE ANY LINK.

Firstly if the email/text addressed you as ''Dear Member'' / ''Customer'' / ''Client'' OR your ''email address'' then that confirms its a spoof as paypal would address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.

Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email/text to ''cancel'' any transaction or ''confirm'' any details then again it would be a spoof.

If there was a problem with your account Paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email or by downloading an attachment, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.

I also got an email and it was addressed Dear Client and asked me to click the link in the email to verify my account that had supposedly been disabled due to an invalid login attempt. I decided to go directly to paypals site and i logged in with no problem, account is fine. Glad i was paying attention, it looked quite official at a glance. Thanks for the advice!
