Someone else is trying to use my email to set up an account

Someone else has been using one of my email addresses (not the one I am logged in with now) to set up a PayPal account.
It appears to be impossible to contact PayPal to tell them about this; I did get through to the Customer Service phone number and talked to "Gia", but she told me she was forwarding me to an account specialist, and 30 minutes later on hold I gave up.

Will someone PLEASE contact me to take this further?  I will answer using the email I am logged in with now.

This is a community forum and not customer services so it would be pointless us contacting you even if we knew how  Smiley Wink

If you had no luck on the phone then i would try again and if no luck still then..............

have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

This is what happened when I tried contacting them on Facebook:

Sorry, I don't understand 😔

You can search in the PayPal Help Center or tell me which topic you need help with

Their customer service system seems to be designed to discourage human interaction.
