Sent payment via Paypal Balance but full amount not received by friend

 Hi All - I have a UK account and sent $600 USD from my paypal balance. I can see the money has left my account and showing equivalent to $600, however my friend has only received $573.30

Anyone have any idea why this has happened?

Sounds as if you sent it using the send money > goods / services option?

If so paypal would see your 'friend' as a seller and they were charged a fee to accept the payment.
