Hello. I received a mail from <removed> and told me to confirm. "We declined your last transaction for your safety As you know, your last transaction was recently declined. What you may not know is that it was because Your transaction looks suspicious or someone using your account without your permission so we limit your account. Let's make sure it doesn't happen again. For your safety, we must confirm you are indeed the account holder to prevent fraud." "Security We monitor every transaction, 15/10/2018 to help prevent fraudulent transactions, and email phishing. Every transaction is heavily guarded behind our advanced encryption." I log in with a mail and a password and ask me all my data. I thought it's true but when went to next step on my bank data I was stoped. So what happened now? Maybe I gave wrong password, but i gave the data on first page (first-last name, birthdays, address, zip code, city, state and offcourse my mail). i am in danger with my personal data and paypal?

Smiley Surprised  You may have given a scammer that information.

If its a spoof, YOU NEVER USE ANY LINK.

Firstly if the email/ text addressed you as ''Dear Member'' / ''Customer'' / ''Client'' OR your ''email address'' then that confirms its a spoof as paypal would address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.

Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email link to ''cancel'' any transaction or ''confirm'' any details then again it would be a spoof.

If there was a problem with your account Paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email or by downloading an attachment, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.
