I recently purchased an item worth $175 on eBay using a $200 eBay gift card.

Once bought the item, the seller cancelled the item. He said he would send a refund. After sometime, he said refund sent. I checked my e-mail, gift card balance, and even PayPal account, and the money still hasn't arrived. This happened yesterday, June 6 2018.
Here are my questions:
Is there a waiting time for the refunds?
Where will my refund go to?
