Hello Everyone,
I have a US PayPal acccount and recently made a purchase on Canada through this. PayPal did their own exchange rate conversion to charge me in USD instead of CAD. Unfortunately, I had to return the item and when my refund was processed, it was lesser than the amount I was charged. In short, I didn't get the actual USD amount I was charged as refund. Is this a common PayPal practice?

I canceled an order I mistakenly placed on an intl retailer's site (using Paypal to convert the currency to USD from EUR since this is what they default it to) and it looks like Paypal is going to skim the 4% they load on top by refunding me the amount back in Euros less whatever ridiculous currency conversion fees they charge. I wish I hadn't clicked on the "continue" button thinking that was related to the website's cookies :T
Not happy about this and I doubt Paypal will do anything about it.
