Receive Payments

Dear all,

I do  web-based graphic designing as a freelancer. For this I receive payments. These payments come from other countries via Paypal. 

My question is:

Do I have to link my Debit/ Credit Card even I am not here to do any kind of shopping, not to pay somebody? I am here only to receive payments. 

Please help me.
