Question about depositing money into Paypal (fees, method)

I recently joined paypal this year, so I'm new to a few things - I apologize if the following questions sound noob-ish.

First, does Paypal charge me a fee when I deposit money INTO Paypal (i.e. loading money onto my wallet)? If so, can someone tell me how much?

And second, is there a way for me to deposit money into Paypal by debit card or some other method than bank transfer? If not, how long does USUALLY it take for money to show up in Paypal after I transfer it from my bank account (I know there's a maximum deadline of "within x business days", but I'm talking about the general norm)?

A lot of people on the internet explain withdrawal fees for paypal when I look it up, but there doesn't seem to be as much info about putting money into paypal in my opinion....

1. No.
However you never need funds in your Paypal account balance as a buyer. When you purchase an item then Paypal credit the seller for you, this is so there is no delay in the despatch of your item. Paypal will then take the wait for the funds to transfer to reimburse them.
However they only take that 'risk' if you pay...

a. Bank transfer but have a back up card linked to your account as well.
b. Debit or credit card.
If you have option (a) but have no back up card linked then your payment may go as an echeque and you and the seller will have to await clearance.

2. No bank account is the only option unless you use paypal 'cash' or someone 'pays' you into your paypal balance.

However .... its 3-4 business days as per link below.
