What are the true protections in place as a buyer using a pay me link? Is it similar to money transfer for a friend or is it more protected since people set that up as a business?

A 'business' paypal.me account is always a goods/services transaction with buyer protection.
A 'personal' paypal.me account is ONLY a goods/services transaction as long as you tick the option to make it a goods/services option before you send payment.
However buyer protection is not a 100% coverall, so if you use a link make sure the item is FULLY DESCRIBED before you pay or you may lose a dispute for 'item received but not as described'.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
