If you are selling goods or services then you pay a fee.
How else do you think paypal makes a profit to pay their staff and run the service.
The only time its free is if you are sending a 'gift' of money using the friends / family option and funding it from your bank account.
Paypals fee is 3.4% + 20p per transaction so you were charged the correct amount.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
