Paypal accepting/not accepting fraction (1.75) quantities with WP Simple shopping Cart

We "sell" carbon emission offsets in parts of tonnes of CO2.

We're experiencing that WP Simple Shopping Cart have added the fraction possibility to their quantity box.

Paypal say they are still only accepting integers, but we're hearing that people have had fraction quantities accepted by paypal.

Can anyone help/clarify.
