Payment to a friend error issue!!

Hi there can anyone help me? I am trying to send money to a friend in the US (I am in the UK) and I keep getting this message. I have enough money to send to them in my PayPal money wallet.

Are the funds in your wallet in USD or STERLING?

Do you want to send him USD or STERLING?

Can he accept STERLING currency on his U.S bank account ie has he added it as a receiving currency?

Sorry, this hasn't helped. I am giving money in GBP to her who should receive it in USD.

ok well if you aren't going to answer my questions so I can help you then I will leave you to it.

If the funds in your balance are in sterling then they won't be converted but I will leave you to sort that one out.
