Payment received from a friend shows as completed but not in my balance!

My friend just made me a payment, the payment shows as completed in my activity with no further transactions after it. Although the payment shows as completed, it isn't showing up in my balance, and I did not spend it or transfer it. The payments were sent from his PayPal balance to my PayPal balance, and he has sent money to me before without problems. Anyone know why this personal payment isn't showing in my balance?
