Payment on hold and Net amount does not match amount received.

Hello Community, 

 

Sorry to bother everyone but after 15 hours waiting (and counting) for assistance from the 'message us' and attempting to call PayPal US and Australia without the ability to speak to an agent, i thought i would try my luck here. 

 

Yesterday i sent $1265 US to my wife's family overseas, opting to wear the fees myself to ensure that the full amount was received yet $80 is missing and the funds are  'On Hold'.  To be clear this was a 'send money' not an invoice payment so there is not 'services or goods received' confirmation option. 

 

Can anyone tell me what i need to do to get the funds accessible to my family and remove the 'on hold' and why is approx $80 missing when the NET amount to be received is the full $1265 USD?

It would help if you said what country they were in?

Did you use the send money > goods/services OR friends/family option only it sounds as if you used the former?
