PayPal vs usual credit / debit cards

I am trying to understand the benefits of using PayPal vs other bank credit and debit cards.

The main one is that all you have to do is log in and pay and you don't have to keep entering your card or bank account details for every transaction.

Also a lot of sellers can only accept credit card payments via paypal so you have access to their items eg on Ebay etc.

Lastly they keep your card information confidential for better security.
