Tried to login - using the right password- says I can’t be logged in. Tried resetting password and entered code sent to te registered email. Then said wanted more verification. I had to click to get a code that would be sent to our Uk number. I’m in Australia on business. Brilliant. So I had to call the UK house and ask someone to enter the code when the call came in. They did it. Message that I couldn’t be verified. What is the problem??? I then asked someone to login from the UK and they could- same password I tried!! Now getting a message to call, but it’s 1am and PayPal closed. I was in the middle of ordering something. What is going on????!!!! I have had to login to a different PayPal account to write this!!

Paypal is country specific so if you start to use a UK Paypal account in Australia then Paypals security kicks in as they want to make sure its you logging in and that your Paypal account has not been hijacked and being used without your consent in another country.

If you are having folks in the UK enter codes etc whilst you are still trying to use the account in Australia then to be honest I am not surprised that they think its a scammer as you can't be in 2 countries at the same time.

Yes, a scammer would have our email and be able to answer our phone. What’s the point in asking for email and phone verification and then not accepting them. I travel constantly, I’m sure PayPal understands people travel, and want to login. We have authorised users. So why set up verification procedures that don’t work?

And I have 6 PayPal accounts, linked with 3 countries. Never had this before. I login from all over the world. The PayPal account may be country specific, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be used wherever the person is. My point is that I could easily verify it’s me. But the PayPal choices were to enter a code sent by email (yes) and then enter a code when the business line called (entered) You don’t think a PayPal account owner should be able to identify themselves more easily?

6 Paypal accounts???

You are only allowed a maximum of 2 Paypal accounts and only then if x1 is personal and the other x1 is business.

Be careful if Paypal find out then you may find all of them suspended. Smiley Surprised
