PayPal for University Club

I am helping my son redo the website of his university's non-profit debating club in the Netherlands.

• What kind of account should they establish - private or business?
• Can they collect payments to a bank account instead of a credit card? The club doesn't have a credit card - cc's are expensive and the leadership changes year to year.

Would appreciate any help.

I would set it up as business. If it's an official non-profit make sure to submit necessary documentation and you'll get special rates from PayPal.

Yes, you can add bank account(s) to PayPal and use it that way without any credit card added.
