If a seller asks me to send money to them Directly and remove the 3rd party from the equation (eBay) will PayPal cover buyer if money is sent through PayPal directly to seller and purchased item is not received?
I really recommend sending money though eBay because you get eBay's Money Back Guarantee but you will receive "some" PayPal buyer protection, because there are terms and conditions to that protection, if you sent payment indicating you are "Paying for an item or service".
Can i add that scammers often ask you to do this, they use hijacked ebay accounts but can't use checkout because they don't have a paypal account and have no intention of paying.
You then get FAKE paypal emails saying they have paid so NEVER send anything unless its showing in your paypal account balance.
