PayPal Fee

A contact in London sent me money to get one of my photos printed and mailed to him. (I'm in the north of Ireland).  I agreed to do this without profit (as I do) and asked him to send the Photobox charge (£6.48) via PayPal.

Paypal took a fee of £0.49 when sending money is supposed to be free.

Any idea why?

Sending money is only free IF its a personal payment ie friends/family and they select that option when they pay AND they fund it from their bank account (if its a credit card then they pay a fee).

If it was sent as goods/services then you would pay a fee.

Re: PayPal Fee

Thanks very much - I will remind people in future to send money as a personal payment.
