Overcharged fee (ebay transaction)

Recently sold some shoes on ebay Final price Inc P&P was £225.99 But I've been charged £11.37 PayPal fee????? I thought it was 2.9% +0.30p which would be £6.85 Any ideas as PayPal are just ignoring me!

Then your buyer must have paid whilst they were abroad on holiday for eg.

Because the international fee is 0.5% which works out as 11.29 (varies dependent on country it was sent from).

Was it an international transaction with higher fees?

Are you talking about your ebay fee or your paypal fee or both combined?

No just the PayPal fee. And no it wasn't an international payment either...???? 😕

Hi,

 

I think that this has happened to me. but I don't understand it.

If I sell an item on eBay.co.uk in £ with a U.K. delivery address, I expect to be charged the standard 2.9% + £0.30 fee. Why should it make any difference if somebody is abroad on holiday when they make the payment?

 

If this is the case, how does anybody work out what profit margin they are going to achieve?
