Thankyou.
OK. So I went to a website, bought a laptop battery and used my debit card. I got a receipt from paypal for the exact amount.
Obviously now I realize the receipt was fake. Nothing more was removed from my card. Pretty clever scam.

I have contacted my bank. Would Paypal need to know - I think though that I know the answer to my own question - there's nothing more can be done?
