I am considering purchasing from an individual from a Facebook group. I have used PayPal a lot but never outside of ebay, business websites, etc. if I purchase through PayPal from an individual does PayPal protect me by holding my payment until I’ve received my item or it has shipped? Thanks
Paypal does not provide an escrow services and no seller would let you have an item before being paid.
Also Facebook does not vet sellers so be very careful as its full of China sites selling tat.
You need to read up on paypals buyer protection policy in their user agreement so that you can risk assess your transactions and NEVER use the family/friends option to pay for goods whatever the seller says.
