Just a payment, not an ebay sale.

Hello people, I am puzzled, I have been a paypal member for a long time, everything paypal asked me to do I did 100%, asked for my drivers license, copies of my bank accunt I did send them all, months ago, everything was normal but now a friend send me money, just a payment, money he owed me, not an ebay sale, JUST A SIMPLE PAYMENT OF $186.00 and now paypal won't release till I give them a tracking number?

I already wrote them, talk to them and they just don't get it.

What should I do?

In this case, your friend might have sent it via "Payment for goods". The best thing to do is to refund your friend his/her payment and let them pay again but this time via Personal Payments or Payments to Friends & Family.

Do not refund as it will be taken from your bank account and not your held funds.

Phone customer services and ask them to release the held funds back to your friend.

Then ask them to send a personal payment.
