I received an email today from <removed> and it was titled Re- (New Update) Suspicious Activity-Your PayPal has now been limited
it also had a case number and PP Id number in the title. The email said:
At PayPal, your security is a top priority. we’ve taken extra precaution to confirm that your PayPal account is secure and have assigned your account with a temporary limited. You will need to restore your account to re-access your PayPal account. To restore your account: 1. Click "Log In Now." In the below section. 2. Follow the steps to restore your PayPal account. Log in Now Once you’ve done this, your PayPal account will be restored immediately. If you have any questions about your account, please contact us. Sincerely, PayPal
Can anybody confirm this is real? I havent clicked on anything in that email, i even logged onto Paypal from another device just to be safe. My paypal account seems normal so i was just wondering if that email is possibly a scam and should i just delete it?

If its a spoof, NEVER USE ANY LINK.
Firstly if the email/text addressed you as ''Dear Member'' / ''Customer'' / ''Client'' OR your ''email address'' then that confirms its a spoof as paypal would address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.
Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email/text to ''cancel'' any transaction or ''confirm'' any details then again it would be a spoof.
If there was a problem with your account Paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email or by downloading an attachment, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.

There is an attachment but i didnt click on it so no idea what it is. If it was real and my account was limited would it say it on here when i log on? Because i dont see anything on here about it. I just dont want to go to use my account in the future and have problems, would like to know now if this is real or not so i can straighten it out. By the info you posted it would seem like a spoof but would just like to confirm it
