Is this email a scam email?

I got an email from : <removed> , saying that I have received a payment that I’ve been waiting for, the email went straight to my spam folder, is it a real email or am I being scammed?

Changed the ‘.’ To a ‘,’ cause paypal won’t let me post the original

best to just give us a gist of content of the email, then we can easily see if its a scam or not.

If you had been paid and the funds were pending then they would be pending AND SHOW IN YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT BALANCE.
