Is this a scam?

I received a message on my phone with the PayPal logo, stating, Dear Samsung SM-G950U user, "Congratulations! You've won a $1000 PayPal gift card! Only 10 users in the states have been selected and you are one!" 

Says "We are celebrating $500 Million dollars of daily transaction volume and this is our way of saying Thank You for being a loyal Paypal user. Answer the questions below to claim your gift card.

Is this valid or a scam?
