Is this a scam?

I have to receive a payment but my customer told me that "(I) have to buy a gift card to convert the currency from bitcoin to real money in (my) account by trading it first here on (their) account. That's the fee and (they) can’t get it because (they) don’t make use of debit card but (I) can get it online with (my) debit card. It only costs 100€ once (I) buy the gift card, it has a code, then the new code will be submitted here for the trading to convert bitcoin to euroes before it delivers in (my) PayPal." It's my first time receiving a payment through PayPal so I'm all around scared and confused. I'd appreciate the help.

Its a scam, paypal do not ask you to get gift cards to do anything account related.

No funds in your paypal balance =  buyer has NOT paid, end of.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
