Hi I recently got a (real convincing at first sight) scam email saying that PayPal detected suspicious activities in my account therefore I am advised to update my info. Long story short i fell for it, gave away my card info, nothing else, and i had to freeze my account because of a suspicious payment try right the next day and had to create a whole new card. I did not give away any PayPal account information but could my account be in danger as well? It never really happened to me before so I just really don’t know what to do next (except be extra careful with these e-mail scams in the future, looking back I feel a bit stupid for not seeing the obvious) thanks in advance for a reassuring few words! 🙂

If you didn't type any PayPal login details into the fake website then your should be fine. Just to be safe you can change your password and security questions. It may also be a good idea to run a virus scan on your phone or computer.
In the future, always go to the website directly to log in and check if you have any notices or transactions in your account.
