Has anyone gotten an email from PayPal telling them that there has been "irregular activity" on an account? Does PayPal send emails like this? Is it for real or a scam?

Emails from PayPal will always address you by your first and last name or business name.
Its a good idea to always log into the website directly—to check if there are any notices or transactions in your account (don't click any links in an email or text message).
Here are PayPal links with details on phishing and other scams.
