Hi I asked someone abroad to pay me £105 UK and I got £97 into my PayPal account. Is it because of fees or because they didn't choose GBP when issuing payment? Thanks

Hello,
Great question! It sounds like the payment was send to you for goods and services. For which, there would be a receving fee associated to the transaction. You can review PayPal's fee structure here: https://www.paypal.com/gb/smarthelp/article/what-are-the-fees-to-use-paypal-faq690
